Urban Transformation – the Scientific Conference of the KIT Science Week

What makes KIT what it is today? In this exhibition you will discover 200 years of research, teaching and innovation - told by over 100 special objects. On site at the ZKM, you can see a selection in the original, supplemented by an interactive presentation: you can experience all 100 objects digitally in text, image and sound. A look back that thinks about the future - and shows how science has changed our world.

Wie fühlt sich die Stadt der Zukunft an? In diesem Workshop entwickelst du mit Bewegung, Tanz und Improvisation deine eigene Vision. Du wirst Teil einer lebendigen Stadtkarte, bringst deine Ideen ein und gestaltest gemeinsam mit anderen eine kreative Zukunft. Offen für alle ab Klasse 10, besonders spannend für Kunstkurse. Trees make cities more livable—but how are the trees actually doing? In this tour, you will learn why life in the city is often difficult for trees: heat, limited space, and dry soil take their toll. You will find out how researchers at KIT use digital measuring devices to monitor the health of trees—and what this reveals about the city of the future. Exciting for school classes from grade 5 onwards!
